So, recabling my bike…..the “internal guide” wires have gone so I need to thread the gear cables through the frame. There’s a cover over the BB with a single screw. Removed the screw, but the cover won’t come out….I’ve tried levering it a bit with a narrow screwdriver to no avail….before I get heavy handed, any suggestions/experience out there?

The yellow inner cable guide is stopping it. It should just fall out. I put DI2 on mine and that cover just drops out to give access to the inside for running the cables and storing the junction box. I’d gentle lever the yellow sheath (with the old cable left in!) out a little so that you can remove the cover.

Done it! Thanks bensales for your help – once the sheath was moved it still didn’t budge but I had a bit of confidence to lever it and it popped out – bit of crud also holding it in…..cheers!!
