Are these good wheels, does anyone know? I know they are heavy (1.9kg) but they are also cheap (£79.99). So all I need to know is whether they’ll be

    a) stiff, and
    b) not fall apart. Oh, and
    c) do they have a braking surface? It looks lie they do but I’m not sure…

    Thanks!

They’ll be fine, looks like the formula hubs (which I have used with no complaints) and yes they have a braking surface.

Given your other post about the dolan precursa, if you’re building a track bike you may be better off buying the complete package from Terry as they’ll work out the same cost but the navigators are better wheels

Precursas are great i love mine

For single speed wheels around that price they are actually pretty light.

Thanks for the advice! Dolan do an amazing deal, I think I am going to go for the Navigator wheels.

I emailed Planet X, apparently the AL30 Ds don’t have a braking surface.

I can’t find any reviews on Navigator wheels. Does anybody know much about them?
