I’m intending to strip down the zesty tonight and check the main pivot bearing becuase of a new creak. A common problem apparently. I’m hoping not to have to take the bearing out, just a clean-up and regrease.

What grease should I be using? I’ve got Park Tools PPL-1, is that going to be OK? I get a bit overwhelmed with the different types of lube available, it seems you need a different type for every different moving part.

Waterproof marine stern grease is best, search on ebay for “Morris K99” and buy the cheapest 500g tub which will last for every.
