Anyone ever been smacked in the head by one falling? Sitting around in the woods at the local trails sometimes see a few fall and in all fairness they look like they'd hurt a bit from a fair height!

I picked up a couple in a small wood close to the Ridgeway while was trying to photograph Ravens, and they were a particularly spiny and prickly variety, I'd hate to get one of those in the face, it'd leave quite a mark.
