    Two Pike questions…

What is the difference between a Pike RCT3 and a Pike RC. I think the answer is damper but what exactly and is the difference worth paying more for?

It seems that you can buy Pikes in 150 and 160mm models but can you then alter the travel, in particular could I buy a 160mm model and set it to 140mm? I want to have a 140mm fork at the minute but it would be good to have the facility to use it with other longer travel bikes in the future.

    Thanks.

Both have charge dampers but I believe they are slightly different, Loco can probably tell you.

RCT3 has a Open, pedal and locked out with low speed compression in the open setting. The RC has open or locked out with low speed compression in between. Both have the Charger damper.

You can alter the travel but would need to buy a complete new air spring.

Any idea how much a new air spring is?

Don’t need a new air srping just a different air shaft about £30 I think

My mistake it’s just the shaft you need, as above, around £30.

So are all the forks exactly the same apart from this single part? ie if you buy a 150mm you could alter it to a 160mm with a new air shaft and likewise a 160mm could be altered to 140mm?
