I need to reproduce some professional looking charts & graphs for an awards brochure – last year we used excel and it looked pants. Does anyone know of any software that will produce a higher quality??

surely your average pie-lover would take the 3/4ish of the pie as their first piece, leaving the smaller bit for 'pudding'?
That looks a poor attempt at pie-scoffing to me.

Microsoft Chart was a…companion to Microsoft Multiplan, the company's spreadsheet in the early 1980s

but cheers anyway steveomcd with the only serious answer…i think.

Oh you wanted a serious answer?

    Do you have Adobe Illustrator?

But to be honest Excel can make some fairly shiny looking charts:

    For simon:

good attempt Graham but too healthy! Replace pumpkin (ugh!) with custard, Apple with triple chocolate, coconut with cheese and onion etc

I was with you till "cheese and onion" pie… bleuurgh.. unless of course you mean in a pasty. Or possibly in a delicious quiche form.

    Quiche. The gentleman's pie.

    Damn I'm hungry now..
