I've owned loads of "normal" bikes and to be honest the jones is more fun on the down hill bits and just as confidence inspiring as my ellsworth or sinister full bouncers.

aa- climbs fine with a 29er in the front, climbs erm...steady with a fat front but that's down to it being nearly 29lb and singlespeed still perfectly doable it just feels like I'm running a couple of teeth higher on the gear ratio.
Once I've got my pimp daddy front wheel and custom hub sorted it'll all be a bit more reasonable.
the geometry really is spot on with a jones, as long as you don't want a flat out race machine* they are fantastic.
*thats what my 20lb selma is for

nah slappy, there's a purple one that lives on the chase as well (ex manchester trev, now a ringo machine), plus lots of others around. Not many coloured ones though as they mainly seem to be black.
