Got to the last hour of a very steady club ride yesterday and developed a painful spot just where my calf meets my achilles. Iced it when l got back, but it was painful to do anything other than sit down and spin the pedals (ie standing on the pedals hurt, as did walking up the stairs later on).

Woke up this morning with it making an odd clicking sensation when stretched. Its not quite as acutely painful as it was yesterday, but wanted to know if anyone has had this themselves. I dont want to lose time off the bike as the season is rapidly approaching!

So far today i’ve gently stretched my calf muscle, massaged it and iced it. Anything i’m missing apart from rest? And what might be causing it?
