    Excellent work people,really inspiring.

Some really great shots on here. They’re giving me a lot of inspiration for some new shots, thank you.

I seem to be focusing on astro-photography at the moment. Here’s my latest attempt, it’s a wide field view of comet Lovejoy. Passing through the constellation of Andromeda on its way through the plain of the Milky Way. Lovejoy is the tiny turquoise coloured dot just below centre and slightly to the right.

Comet Lovejoy – Feb 2015 by Jairaj

There are many deep sky objects visible in picture I have annotated some of them here:

Yes fasthaggis, made it onto the front page for a while too, and made some money selling it for another website 🙂

Here’s one from yesterday. A phallic Valentine’s Day symbol if ever I saw one 😉

An old pic, but only just got round to uploading it.

You know that scene with the turtles in Finding Nemo? That’s documentary, that is.

    I admit to being useless at photography, but doing the photo a day thing for the year has made me happy with some of my offerings;

Some shots from a race I organised on a course I made from a disused quarry. Feedback was good but it took lots of hard work to pull it off .

I’m not sure that these will pass muster here, but I like them and if I procrastinate much longer, they will be too old!

Bianchi-Bot – that owl shot is stunning. I love the crispness of the eye.

There is a lot of inspiring photographs in this thread, makes me want to get the camera out and try and contribute.

Thank you sundaytrucker, very kind of you to say so.

You should definitely get the camera out and get shooting.

Seeing redthunder’s photo of the Great Western paraffin parrot, reminded me of some I took of Wiltshire’s new bird, after it landed on a school playing field while I was walking home from work. First time I’d seen it, it came into service on Jan 1:

And a clear winter sunset on the Avalon Marshes, near Glastonbury.

JohnClimber I really like the panorama and CountZero good work with that sunset

Three Fish – that second image is amazing, I’d happily hang that on my wall.

Bianchi Boy – I think I will put the battery on charge and see if the mood takes me. Apologies for the autocorrect error on your name in my previous post.
