Any recommendations for a small fold up tripod to suit a GoPro? Ta.

Hmm, I was going to say what a pointless post skink, but that’s the one thing it’s got going for it! 😀

How small? Are we talking Gorillapod size? Or just a lightweight, floorstanding tripod?

I’ve got a Velbon Ultra Maxi F – not sure they do it anymore, but if you google Velbon Ultra Maxi, it’ll come up with something.
I use one with my SLR and while it’s not massively stable, it is pretty light and folds down small. If you don’t fold the legs out all the way (the last section is pretty spindly) then it is a lot more stable.
With a Go Pro it should be pretty solid.

edit – what he said ^^^^^, only slower. 😀

Thanks, that’s the sort of thing I was meaning/visualising.

Never rated Gorillapods, especially with DLSR stuff.

I have a Manfrotto table top mini tripod in the camera bag which is great for flashes and would be more than up to the job of supporting a GoPro

A gorillapod is fine for a GoPro though and have the benefit of being able to grip branches, posts, gates, etc

Would a Pod suit sir’s needs?
