I have sent off my driving licence (photo id) for renewal as its 10years old now and runs out 6th Dec. Its not back yet and there isn't long before the 6th.
The licence runs out when I am 70 but being a photo licence, lasts only 10 years to update the photo of yourself. If it doesn't come back in time, am I still able and legal to drive?

Also check that you have all your classes, as there have been many cases of motorbike eligibility 'disappearing'.

Yes, worried about that. Have a copy of the old licence here that was "lost"!

I would say "yes" as it's the hands of the DVLA and you've sent it off. I would call the DVLA to confirm and chase it up. But you should be fine.

Yes you are fine to drive, it says so on the paperwork, well it did on the stuff I got last month.
