    Just about to swap the bottom bracket on my bike.

    It’s a SRAM pf92.

    Do I need to grease the cups before fitting or just press them in clean ?

    I usually grease mine, its an ally frame.

    Some manufacturers spec grease, others locktite. Some BB manufacturers spec locktite, others grease. If your like me, you’ll find that it’s a grease/locktite standoff. I’ve gone for grease, if it freaks, it’ll be locktited.
