Just coming to the end of a 3yr lease. Very happy initially, but circumstances have changed – new job about a year ago has meant I now commute by bike pretty much 5 days a week. So my monthly cost is sat on the drive all week doing nothing.

It also seems to have accumulated more nicks and scratches than I've had before in owned cars, which may become annoying if the leasing company decide is more than general wear and tear, or maybe I just notice them more cos its not mine.

If you must have a new car, its a reasonably painless way of 'borrowing' one.

Opt for the smallest mileage option to keep the payments low.

TBH, far better to use the same money and buy a s/h one – this way you own it.
