Tubeless setup on Flow mk3. Was fine until I fitted Huck Norris at the weekend. Didn’t touch anything else but when I inflated the tyre again there was a leak from the valve hole. Have tried three different valves with the same effect.

Only option now to strip and retape the wheel?

You probably damaged the tape and the leak is emerging at the valve hole

Yup, it causes a lot of confusion this but if the tape allows a leak into the rim (ie through a spoke hole) it’ll often find its way back out at the valve, as spoke nipples seal up their holes pretty well. So leaks anywhere can become “valve leaks”, it’s annoying.

That’s what I thought. Oh well… Wouldn’t be a pain if I weren’t 100 miles from home with only a minimal toolkit (and no rim tape) with me…

Trip to 18 Bikes for me tomorrow then…
