    Was at Roacamador the other day having lunch when we saw a long line of cyclists heading down the side of the valley. About 20 mins later they were still coming past! There must have been a few hundred of them all lined out. Turns out it’s an organised 5 day cycle tour for kids around the Lot valley. Unfortunately it’s also a church organised thing, but that aside…

    Was brilliant to see so many kids on bikes all enjoying themselves. Seems like a great idea and it’d be cool to be able to send Blobby Jr on something like that when he’s old enough (but without the evangelising bits.) I’m betting we don’t have anything like this over here with too many worries about health and safety, traffic, weather, etc. Shame really as it’d be great for kids.

    Sounds great. Your bet would be safe as the worries about safety and traffic would be genuine!

    Yes, shame. I can imagine trying to organise this sort of thing over here would be a major PITA and probably un-doable.
