Its gonna be dry 2moro – but its hammered down all day. Can anyone reccomend any routes/areas that are gonna be OK after so much rain?

You’re never going to find a 100% mud free route – but you won’t go far wrong with some of the stuff round ladybower – Lockerbrook,, Hagg Farm etc

a lot of what i rode around hayfield today didn’t feel like it had a lot of mud on, the water must have washed it all away ..

obviously veer off the worn path and it was muddy/grassy, but I can’t remember any proper gloop/bog

The Macc Forest route in the last issue of the mag is reasonably weather-proof.

Some of it e.g. Charity Lane will be like riding down a river but it won’t be muddy.

Macc forest is the go to ride in biblical weather, you’d be very lost to come across proper mud.

Jacobs/edale loop?

Start at Bridge End car park. Climb Hagg side. Descend Hagg Farm. Climb concessional track to Wooler Knoll. Drop to Roman road then down into Hope. Right on the Edale road until Jaggers Clough climb. Back to Hope Cross. Descend Blackley Hey and cross at Rowlee to descend Lockerbrook. Apart from the traverse to the Roman road, there shouldn’t be too much mud.

well, from the a5007 down to three shires head is muddy, but that’s about it

another chioce is the loop round chapel gate, roych clough, coldwell clough, oaken clough and jacob’s ladder

There’s a whole lot of standing water about and some tracks were big streams last night. Sun’s out now nad the sky is blue so grab your chance – more monsoons heading north from the West Country according to BBC Weather this morning.
