I am taxiing my kids up to alton towers tomorrow and have decided that I won’t be going in with them (not my thing and short of cash… (They have some free tickets ) so I’m gonna bring the bike up with me and try to get a nice days ride in the peak district ;).

Any pointers on a good place to start and head for? I’m bring my rigid retro old kona so even something quite tame with some good views would be fine and dandy, or even cool single track or whatever…,

Any ideas gratefully received otherwise I’ll just be getting out the os map and exploring…,
