Morning All.

Had my Home Pc pick up a dirty virus, took it in to be cleaned, brought it home and its been sat in the spare room for a month or so now. Anyhow, I’ve just tried to fix it ll back together and get it all working again, as I need to access some stuff on it.

Thing is it won’t connect to the internet. Its linked to the router (in the lounge) by a wireless Belkin thingy, but even after carrying the whole lot downstairs and trying a cable, I can’t sort it out.

It comes up as far as I can tell with no ip address, but all the other links are green.

Can anyone offer (in simple terms) some pointers or shall I just call out a home visit repair chap

Oh, and yes I have tried the classic turning it off at the socket etc.. 🙂
