    Is Microsoft security essentials intended as a replacement for, say Norton. Does it do the same things? does it do them as well as paid-for software?
    Getting a new lappy and trying to decide wether to fork out for Norton or just install MSE.

    Don’t forget to install separate malware scanner too, & run them regularly, as good as MSE is… malware is tricky stuff.

    Yes….I was victim to a bit of malware on the desktop recently….bit of a sod to get rid of…
