  • PC Monitor-Speakers/Soundbar, just a single USB cable, do they exist?

Bought a dinky PC last week, it came bundled with a monitor. Up to now if I’ve bought a monitor I make sure it has built in speakers to keep the wiring under control and the desk tidier. New monitor hasn’t got speakers so looked in the supermarket this morning, admittedly not the best choice but all needed separate audio cables and power supplies and a fair chunk of desk to sit them on.

Ideally I want to mount the speaker/s on the monitor itself, and have a pass through USB port and audio connectors on the front. Is this wishful thinking? Anybody got a better idea? Cheers.

Have a Sony Vaio one in front of me know – USB only.
Has a power supply too so the ext-in can be used as a standalone if need be.

Oh, they sound promising, any model numbers/links? Thanks.

I’ve since found the Dell AC511
    Amazon linky
Which looks promising too, it clips directly to their monitors. Mine is an Acer, but it does have VESA mount on the back so making up a little bracket should be a doddle.

I have one of those Dell ones, decent enough sound and unobtrusive.
