    Hi all,

Need 4GB more ram in my work PC. Motherboard is an ASUS B85M-G. This is a list of the compatible RAM from Crucial:

Fun part – I am in India. Can anyone tell me which of these would be suitable (and the cheapest) – from Amazon India? I’m not sure if it simply being DDR3L is enough, or if there is more to be aware of!

    Many thanks,

Opened up all the lists, and searched for one of the Crucial compatible RAMs, and it didn’t show up on any of the lists!… Confused!

From the Crucial page, I’m assuming the max size of supported modules is 2Gb. So you’re looking at something like this:

If you click the “view more compatible memory” button, there are 4GB options 🙂

If you are in India there are about 500 million people who will claim to be experts and able to help you 😉

Have you had a look inside the box – see what’s in there, take out a stick and post a photo – probably 2 of 4 slots used so you will have some options. When I have done similar in Mac I found older chips (slower clock speed) where more expensive but newer ones worked. Also a single 8gb stick was cheaper than 2×4 – as you say a single 4 maybe cheaper than 2×2. Any 2gb’s lying around you can snaffle for free ? (I gave a friend an unused 2gb chip you may find similar)
