Looking to building a small patio for an arbour and eventually replacing the existing patio which are very plain concrete slabs. Any recommendations of what paving slabs to go for, seems to be concrete which are the cheapest then imported stone such as Indian sandstone and then york stone. Any recommendations of which to use and were to get them from. Prefer to get something decent which will last and be durable but also look good and not too old fashioned as it will be outside a 20 year old house. Thanks

I went for an Indian sandstone in ‘mint’ from a local builders merchants. Cost the same as anywhere else and I could go and have a look first.

I read that three times before realising that you weren’t asking about paving Slavs. I could have referred you to some.

I’ve 120 in the back yard, free from Gumtree, waiting for better weather to install as steps and shed base.
