Anyone know when the entries open? Does it fill fast?

I rode the course/route the week after the event this year, was fun! Not sure when the entries open.

The entries open in February, but it fills up really quickly. They've not put a date up yet.

And yes, it's a tremendous blast.

date is up – 26th and 27th june. only on the French bit of the site though, h'en y h'en……….

Its good fun but not mind blowing. Rather a lot of double track over the Swiss side so hard work on a proper DH bike if you were thinking of using one.

Doing it again next year but only because some mates are going.

good fun, but avoid the roads on the swiss side and take in some of the downhill tracks instead.

probably back for my 4th year next year.

I've done it and enjoyed it but wouldn't do it again. The downsides (queues) aren't balanced by the upsides (feed stations). I've been to Morzine a different week as well and preferred the flexibility of riding where we wanted (or were guided).

Well worth it, but be prepared for a long day. Done it this year in full DH gear, pressure suit and Full face helmet, but won't use the suit next time, especially in the warm.

Serendipity or what? I'm not long off the phone to some folks in Morzine who will post me a load of details- I'll post them up here when they arrive. As said above, entries in Feb, around about Valentine's Day I'm told. The earlier you apply the more likely you are to get the start venue of your choice. Long queues, early start 🙁 Brilliant craic, stunning food though, as well as the mind boggling views and superb riding (esp. the French side) 🙂 🙂 5 or 6 of us going over and I can't wait, despite having to take unpaid leave from work.

Its normally open on line (possibly on French site first) around 15 Feb for last two years. Morzine sells out in a day or two for Saturday with Sundays and Les Gets selling out pretty fastin next few days. Need to sort ya group and who can definitely go before then

not as good this year as no lift up from Chatel bike park – the 11km or so run down to Chatel great in 08, didn't like flat and uphill bits there this year

i'd do other events like Freeraid at Les2Alpes, but its great to be at Morzine/Morgins/Chatel/Les Gets for the other riding that week and the guys we hook up with. Pretty chilled event and good food and friendly queues. A few downhill options but quite a lot of fireroad but some manic riding back over by lake to Les Lindarets on multiple rocky lines.

there were a few pro French female DHers doing it just for atmoshere, food and great fun event. Plus a bike show somewhere round. Did 58m and 6000m of descending and 300 or 400 or so metres of ascending. the non DH option a bit longer. Did full circuit this year but had seen bike show on the Saturday. Starting Les Gets not too good as get q there and q at Morzine, some of the routes also a bit odd so we miss a few bits and do better link from Les Gets to Morzine etc. Organisation good as get name and nationality on number plate, cheese, sausage, coke,choclate, oranges bananas plus a few other local bits plus beer wine etc if you want. Mavic Shimano etc service places enroute or at show plus get a free days lift pass for another day, t shirt and some other stuff for around £35-£40 entry fee.

Early start 9 hours plus circuit and lifts till 6pm so pretty full day – need to all start same time and place (and stash your goody bag as only register normally from 7.30am with a bit of a queue and then straight to lifts) and lifts 8.30am start.

not mindblowingly brilliant but great event as as a long weekend or week trip beats mayhem and other events where you might only get 5 hours or so riding over a long weekend. see u there
