Mine wore through the seat worryingly quickly with relatively light use in the Peak, nice cut and fabric, but you can clearly see how the things have abraded badly at saddle contact points. I’m not saying they’re worse than similar kit and to be fair, they were used hard in very abrasive conditions, but it’s maybe worth being aware that they’re not the most durable things out there and the reinforced patch on the seat doesn’t necessarily sit where it’s supposed to.
My experience is that waterproof and softshell shorts are less durable than normal baggies, I think because the fabrics tend to be less durable and seams stand proud, which tends to concentrate abrasion at those points.
Great while they’re working though. Someone really needs to come up with a version with a seamless, reinforced seat though imo.
