right..remember rob warner blow air biking back in the day??

got me thinking whether it’d be feasible for a long commute.

Currently I spend £40-50 a week on diesel to get to work (31 miles each way 5-6 days a week)
Wondering what the pro’s and cons of part riding, part cruising(fan assisted) would be..and to what cost?

any people in the know regarding these things?

    Let the piss taking begin

A damn good curry the night before, washed down with four pints of guinness and a tail wind will never be an issue.

i am riding a electric bike at present cos of ill health.
the bike cost me £2k, i get 90 miles on a charge.
it would soon pay for itself at a saving of £50 a week.

Looked into it a couple of years back and had a lesson, but put it on the back burner for a variety of reasons.
Paramotor and wing will cost about 7K. Probably add about another 1k for bits and bobs.
Fuel will consumption is about 3-4 litres an hour for an airspeed of about about 30 mph.
Engines aren’t very reliable, well not compared to say a typical car.
Most are two strokes so you’d might have to factor in mixing oil.
The weather you can fly in is pretty limited though so probably not a good choice for a regular commute.
Would be good on the days you could though 😀

I think the OP is thinking more along the lines of strapping a paramotor on his back whilst riding a bike.

electric bikes max out at 15 mph (added effort not included), I wouldn’t fancy 4 hrs commute everyday. 😯
