Can you get away with Panaracer Rampage 2.3’s on Mavic 717 disc rims?
Will they squirm to much?

i got conti vertical pro 2.35’s on 717’s – seem to do the job very nicely indeed!

Aren’t continental 2.3″s about the same size of normal 2.1″ tyres though?
I’ve felt my 2.1″ Kenda Nevegal squirm about a bit on XC717s now and then
I think Panaracer Rampage 2.35″s are meant to come up quite big.

rampages are quite big. My brother in law uses them. If you’ve got 717s guess you’re a bit of a nimble rider anyway so rampages don’t sound right anyway!

think they favor a wider rim. esp riding harder.

I ran them for 2 rides on 717s and peeled them off the rim twice and that was with them pumped up pretty firm. Fine on 321s, rubbish on narrower rims though as the 2.35 is HUGE compared to other brands versions of a 2.3.

Have run 2.35 High Roller and Minion no probs though.
