    Paints changing far too much at the moment due to legislation from the eu, they seem to be struggling to get it right imo.

    Theyre wanting to rid oilbased alltogether, all new build sites ive worked on has bin waterbased, fine n dandy on mdf and new work but terrible on “real” day to day use, i find leyland have allways bin ahead in the voc game

    Wouldnt use acrylic in my house, seen far to many jobs where its broken down to a dirty black sticky mess, especially on doors and handrails

    This thread just justifies everything ive mentioned earlier.Why would you train for 4 years and then dedicate the next ten years of your working life honing your skill to give advise to would-be DIYers? if ya wanna know what paint to paint on to your door(badly)then go to B&Q and ask the numpty behind the desk.If you wanna a pros oppinion,get ya wallet out.Sorry if this sounds mean but tough S~~t

    Because they’re not in competition with you, so you have nothing to lose. The whole internet is full of people sharing their knowledge with others and they seem quite happy to do so…
