Fell sideways off the bike on Saturday and thought nothing of it, had a small little ache for a day or two then on the Tuesday after work the pain started. It is a short sharp pain when sneezing and coughing, went to A&E no x ray was taken and the pain killers are working a treat. So I’m now unsure if have have broke/cracked a rib or is it just a muscular pain that I have, forgot to add when the wife gave me a hug it hurt then? The pain is about 2 to 3 inches down from the collar bone.

I’m no doctor but from personal experience and the experience of others you would be virtually immobilised by a fractured rib for a few days.. it’s pretty excrutiating..
