It seems when I apply the front brake there is a small amount of movement when you hold and move the wheel. After a long time of cleaning and checking headset, rotor, wheel and bolts it would seem it is actually the pads moving inside the calliper when the brake is applied and the wheel moved back and forward.

I can actually notice this riding and had thought it was a loose. Headset,

Pads are aftermarket, but comparing to originals they look the same.

Anyone else had this? Is there a fix?

They do that to allow for heat expansion. If it bothers you, then a layer of duct tape on the back of the pads makes it grip the piston and stop the chatter.

Ok by design then, thanks for the tip

If you can notice that when riding, you are clearly not going fast enough, otherwise you’d have more important things to think about 🙂
