OK, got a rare vinyl that I have been hanging onto, unopened, ie brand new, I have seen them online at discogs for around £770 and that was in “played once” condition.

Looked on eBay and it sells for far lower (£300 max),

I want to sell it, but as I am not a vinyl guru, where would a good place to advertise it, or is it best taking it to a specialist shop (it is chvrches, the mother we share, which is kind of synth-pop)?

    Anyone used discogs?

I know you guys will have some good advice. After all, you’re mountain bikers.

I used discogs after asking advice on here. Did quite well for a while but it’s gone quiet now.

Prices seem to be dropping all the time so my records are probably overpriced now.

As a new user selling a very high value record you may be a concern to some customers?

Yeah, that is a good point, I guess I would not buy expensive bike stuff off ebay from a newbie.

Mmmm, might look at shops….Leeds and Manchester are not far.

But saying that, I sold some records for £50 to £100 within my first 10 sales.

It’s free to list stuff, you only pay if you make a sale – so worth a try.

    Discogs is good.

My mate runs Clampdown Records in Manchester, he could be interested. Vinyl Exchange is also good but probably won’t offer what you want.

Thanks Mcnultycop, looking at vinyl exchange, but is a bit studenty!

    Will check out Clampdown Records.

Discogs is your best bet. Just use Paypal (fees paid) and even as a new user it shouldn´t be a problem if you sell there.

Also include the option to collect in person.
