Come on decorators/builders what paint to use? I’ve got to paint the outside of the house this weekend and need to get some half decent paint. IS Sandtex the one to go for, or are there others that are better suited.

I might need one to cover small cracks in the render and to also help go over the shoddy old paint that is still left (i will try and brush of the worst bits!

I use Sandtex on our bay window, and it seems pretty decent. I put a new coat on every couple of years (quicker than cleaning the old paint).

Sandtex here too, put plenty on and it will look good for years.
Mine was over pebbledash and was a bitch to paint and took me ages to do and I used 13, 5 litre tins. 😯

We had ours re-done last year the product was called pliolite or something like that. Seems to be a decent product and can be applied in low temperatures.
