Bought this as a stop gap when I picked up my D300 until I decided which way to go lens wise. Now settled on shooting mostly with primes (35/50/85mm), so this has languished on my shelf for a few months untouched.

Makes a good walkabout lens - I will fully admit its nowhere near the quality of say a Nikon 17-55 - but then you wouldn't expect it to be, but all said and done its a reasonably good lens for a fantastic price (to quote an amazon review) and would suit someone who doesnt want to lug around multiple lenses all day. Personally I got some pleasing images from it, but just don't use it or shoot in a way that warrants keeping it.
Lens is in excellent condition, has had a Kenko filter on it all the time, and comes with the original box etc etc. Paid £159 on ebay for it back in January - it was used, but barely so then. Currently around the £160-170 mark new. Asking £125 posted (recorded delivery) to anywhere in the UK, will also include a polariser with that. Prefer paypal for payment. Photos available on request. Will also consider collection for COD in N London/ Herts (Enfield based). email should be in user proifile, but if not try bandroidtheandroid[at]gmail.com
(been on here a while - since around 2003 I think (was doctoral_blues before the big name change event), but this is the 1st time I have sold anything on the classifieds - bought a few things mind. Got an impeccable ebay record fwiw - user name of brooksy69)
