Got a really weak/variable signal at my place in Spain.

Trying to sort an arial extender for GFs phone (Nokia X2)or buying one that works well with a weak signal.

Old style mobiles had arial sockets so an external arial or car kit could be used, doesn’t seem to happen any more.

Can’t use an active booster as we haven’t got enough power to keep one one switched on 24/7.

    Any ideas?

Is this one particular service carrier? if so… can you negotiate out of your contract?

I have a choice of service providers – UK provider in Spain, just a hill in the way of the transmitter tower. There is often enough signal to text, if you find a ‘hot’ spot and some peoples phones actually work okay-ish sometimes.

When out riding in a group, there’s always someone who can make a call on their phone when everyone else has no bars and i kind of need to find out what phone that is. Outdoor phones used to be made but i think the market has dried up with the new wizzy ones.
