Will a gearbox & transferbox from a 98 Nissan terrano fit my 96 Nissan d21 pickup. Both have the 2.7 td engine.

Mine has failed and I need a replacement..

    Thanks

There should be a gearbox model number, it will either be stamped on it or on a tag secured to it. Other than that, wouldn’t like to say, if it’s the same engine code, it should mate up, but what’s the ratio’s? Do the shafts all fit?

Hi benji..unfortunately box & vehicle are approx 120 miles apart atm. I’m trying to source the box from eBay.
The numbers on the transfer box of the terrano are
    33107-G2340……………1804

    Terrano Gearbox numbers are

    32131-G2342…………..1933

    Do these help

What are the numbers on the ebay item you are looking at, are they close do they match?

The numbers on the ebay item are the ones above. The mechanic where i have my pickup hasnt taken the gearbox out yet to check the numbers. He doesn’t want to remove it until he has a replacement.

Can understand that, as he doesn’t want the ramp tied up.

I think that Nissan only made 1 variation of the 2.7 td engine. First came the 2.4 diesel, then the 2.7 td then the navara D22 with the 2.5td
