Hey all,
I am selling my CD player to help fund another head unit for my car. It is an Alpine CDA-9857R. Its a few years old, and the front fascia panel is slightly marked, but its general wear and tear rather anything major. Spec wise, its up there with most of the modern headunits.
4 x 60w output
plays CDs, MP3's and WMA's.
Bass Engine sound setup including Bass and Treble control and sub control.
CD changer control (when connected to a relevant CD changer)
RDS
3 x pre-out
Steering wheel control out (needs relevant cable - dependant on car, normally cost around £20)
Ai-net control for Full Speed Ipod control
Auto dimmer function
Red or blue backlit colour options
Birthday reminder
There is various other things Ive forgotten about, but I bought this headunit because the sound was first class. Sound is not tinny or too bassy, but just right. It seems to have a good frequency response compared to cheaper headunits, is powerful enough for most standard speakers, great reliability and its a bit more subdued looks wise compared to some of the more chavvier units out there.
The KCA-420i adaptor was bought recently and works fine. It is a seperate box to the headunit and so will need somewhere to sit. It fitted easily behind my center console in my car with no problems.
It comes with the fitting cage, main unit, fascia, Ipod adaptor and connection cables. I have a copy of the instruction manual of the unit which has been printed off as I lost the original, the original instructions for the Ipod adaptor and boxs for both as far as Im aware. It is missing the Alpine fascia carry box and trim ring as these were lost during a move, though these will cost you a max of £10 each from Ebay where they seem readily available.
The price is fairly non-negotiable as this will include recorded postage too. The Ipod adaptor is between £70-100 new on their own and easily go for over £50 on Ebay second hand so this is a good price for both!
Pics up soon, but for now a link to a pic of the headunit is: http://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/products/2006/500/h500CDA9857-f_p.jpg
