I’m currently riding a 456 Summer Season (looks like a BFe but I don’t know how ride compares). Considering buying either an original Stanton Switchback or a BFe275 (not the new one as I’ve a short back so think it’ll be too long).
Reviews of the Switchback talk about the ride quality where as BFe reviews seem to talk about it being solid, what is the BFe ride quality like compared to other steel hardtails?

I believe the 456 Summer Season used unbutted tubing so it’s pretty damned stiff for a pre-CEN bike.

I have a 2012 BFe it’s not overly stiff or “harsh” at all. When I bought the frame I heard those rumours but that’s not been my experience and I ride the bike for everything from “dh”to xc.

Both will be good and a similar style, I’d buy the one you like the look of the most.

    Cheers.
The shorter chainstays on the Stanton are appealing
