  • Orange/EE cancelling phone contract

    I’ve started the ball rolling (I think), but would appreciate any advice on how to make sure it’s being done right.
    I’ve been receiving sales bs phone calls from someone claiming to be from orange, but probably isn’t but is an “orange partner”. they’ve been told to stop, that continued calls will result in me not renewing the contract when it expires. No change. So now I want to raise a complaint through Ofcom to see if I can use that as leverage for an early out of the contract. Called Orange, got talking to some “manager” who said they will raise the issue with Ofcom, but I got the feeling that’;s just a delaying tactic. So should I
    – go to Ofcom anyway, reporing today’s conversation, which was absolutely about my going and no discussion about a resolution, or
    – find another way to raise a complaint with Orange first, then take it up with Ofcom?
