Posting this on behalf of a friend who has just had his MTB stolen from off a car bikerack in Queensbury, West Yorks, this morning.

Lime Green Orange 5, 29″ wheels with stans flow rims, Pike forks, reverb seat post.

reported to West Yorks police.

Worth adding this guy had only ridden it twice and had had his previous bike stolen 2 months prior.

As a lesson for all, he jumped out of the car to run into a LBS and less than 2 mins later it was gone. yes we can say it should’ve been locked on but how many of us think it won’t be me. 2 mins is all it takes, full daylight and on a very busy road.

Whilst it’s massively wrong and I feel for the guy and genuinely hope he gets it back…really…you leave £4k unlocked on the top of a car…there’s a thread nearly every week like this.

Do we need to do a PSA ? PSA – don’t leave bikes unattended…they might get stolen!
