Anyone know if there’s a difference to us ?

    flights to USA

found via opodo and cost the same as direct booking with airline

presumably opodo get a referral fee

is it better or worse from our point of view (ie rights as a customer) to go through them (used to be said that direct bookings online weren’t as well covered in the event of problems with bookings) or is it still direct with the airline, just arriving at the site via a different link ?

Ta in anticipation of an avalanche of help 🙂

They’ll be the same price if you follow the link but if you go direct it may be cheaper.

Opodo are just the introducer, so they just get commission for reffering you, but you still end up booking with the airline direct, so theres no difference in levels of protection.

I usually use opodo to get a general feel for the price, and then book direct looking for deals via something like quidco (you get a percentage of there commission). If theres no/little difference in the price, just go with the airline, and cut out the middleman.

    ooh, hello !
(cheers, I’d given this one up)
ended up booking direct (exact same price), esp once I saw BA has a stake in opodo (we had a bit of a falling-out recently)
