They weren’t measured properly in the first place, then looks like the fitter just put them up anyway, knowing they weren’t going to fit.
No excuse but this really is a busy, stressful time of the year for everyone in the home furnishing business.
Possibly some firms take on too much.

My parents ran a made to measure service and it wouldn’t have looked like that. It wouldn’t have been cheap though.

It looks like the centre mechanism is too wide. We have roman blinds and they don’t really overlap, certainly at the mechanism end.

I think multiple blinds would’ve looked better but that not what you wanted.
