Does anyone know of an alternative place to download Garmin maps?

It needs to be the small file size format available from the above site.

I need to get it today but the NL site is saying my download wont be available for 6 days!!

I can’t help but the wait time is now getting ridiculous. I’d pay £1 or something to get it within an hour.

If you pick a predefined country, it usually gives you the download link straight away. No need to fill in your email address and wait.

That is true, but most countries wont fit on a 520

You could install the maps in Garmin Basecamp, then use that to pick which tiles to load onto the device.

And that page has a link for donations, if you want to pay something.

Do you know if basecamp maps work with a 520? It doesnt have a card just 50mbish of spare memory.

My recent download time was also around 6 days, don’t know what’s going on as it used be a few hours wait max?
Will look into the Garmin Base Camp method though.

You should be able to get 90Mb-ish on the 520 (original map was around 50Mb, plus other free space).

Do it anyway, mine said 6 days, but came in 24hrs.

Its gone from 7.3 days yesterday to 4.4 days today, I need it this evening.
