Has anyone had any experience of these? Our company have a site pretty much in the middle of nowhere. In order to get a leased line in, Openreach have surveyed and come back with a £60K charge. Without going into too many details we are talking about 2K from the exchange across rural countryside.

    Any thoughts?

They’re not your only option, will Virgin have a stab at it?

I quoted for a leased line and build was £6k, they came in at £2k.

sounds cheap if they have to get landowners on board/paid and also pay for a cable to be sunk.

Wireless is absolutely worth considering, there are plenty of providers of microwave links for rural connectivity.

Doesn’t sound crazy if they’ve got to trench and lay a cable.

I would investigate 4G or radio as above – esp if the bandwidth requirements are low. Also check with the other enterprise suppliers as they might have a closer existing bit of fibre (outside chance!).
