Does anyone know if a complete key is available for open cycle map, please? The official one here seems to have things missing:

I was hoping to find out what a dashed brown line and a dashed green line are.

Sure I saw a thread on this recently, but can’t remember where.

As I understood it brown dashed is, in the UK, typically a footpath and green dashed bridleway and the like (though could be a fireroad). Though there’s longer dashes and shorter I think and not sure on the difference. Blue dashed is where specifically bikes are allowed, but bridleways aren’t always marked as such even though they usually are legit for bikes.

I think, but I’m not certain.

It also marks national cycle routes with highlights.

footpaths, bridleways, and paths (no RoW) seem to be all mixed up in green and brown dashed lines.

I’s often worth picking apart with OS map along side if possible. (bing maps is good for this)

    EDIT: more info here https://help.openstreetmap.org/questions/4329/cycle-map-key
