Anyone else cheesed off with the amount of good games coming out in the next few months?
I know this happens every year but this year seems worse (or better) than ever, Medal of honour, c.o.d black ops, Gt5, fallout new vegas, pro evo soccer 11, fifa 11, Halo reach and that new xbox kinetic thing.
Saving money for a new bike build (priorities!) so, it looks like I’ll only be getting one.
Wish I had the money and time for the lot, just c.o.d then 😉
    Anyway, rant over.

I was going to suggest Monopoly for a family, but Scrabble for the adults (Double points for a swearword, of course)

+1 for Scrabble. I have no idea what any of the stuff you mention is. Are those things you have on the television? I saw one where you twiddle a little rotary knob and it moves a line up and down so you can play ping pong at a snail’s pace. It’ll never catch on.

Halo reach is very poor. Campaign is very dull. Kill hordes of aliens. Move to a slightly different location. Kill hordes of aliens. Repeat.

And multiplayer, its like playing a browser based flash game. Can keep you entertained, and kind of addictive, but no where near the experience something like cod gives.

I find that a good red mullet or a bream can give me a very good fish based experience.

Halo Reach is pretty up and down, the Zero Punctuation review was pretty much spot on.

    Oh, and get Fable 3!

    WANT.

I love the imaginativeness that goes into some of these games, the attention to detail, the visual ideas.

Carcasonne is very nice board game with simple rules and quite complex gameplay. It’s widely available now.

+1 carcassonne – one of those easy to play, tough to master games – have yet to win an online game
