Got to say, as MPs go I like George Galloway and he has the balls to lift the lid on slimy bullshitters…

Loathing for Blair unites left and right.

From billionaire’s yacht Blair urges Syria attack, but…This war monger is the very last man we should listen to

Tony Blair has been having a high old time in Sardinia. Our former Prime Minister — and Special Envoy for the Middle East — was flown to the Mediterranean island in a private jet last Thursday.

He was then whisked to the enormous super-yacht of an American billionaire before visiting two other super-yachts in what was evidently a hectic round of partying and glad-handing. He also managed to squeeze in a few hours in the ‘Eurotrash’ resort of St Tropez on the southern French coast.

Of course, enjoying the hospitality of the super-rich is nothing new for Mr Blair. When he was Prime Minister, and several tens of millions of pounds poorer than he is today, he habitually holidayed with his family in the villas of multi-millionaires.

Despite his busy schedule, Mr Blair has been able to refine his latest thoughts about Syria, which surfaced in yesterday’s Times newspaper. Surprise, surprise, he is strongly in favour of taking action. Since he does not draw any distinction between bombing and invading the country, we may assume he is in favour of both.

Given his record as a warmonger, one might have expected him to tread carefully. He doesn’t.

    Brilliant.

    Galloway in self publicity shocker…

Perhaps he’d like to keep up his previous track record? Produce a dossier, then hound a respected critic of it to suicide?

Appointing Blair as Middle East Peace Envoy in the first place proved that satire is dead

Erm, he’s a politician – that’s how it works. You expect them to seek publicity and not keep a low profile out of the limelight. Or do you vote for quiet people who shy away from publicity ? 🙂

Actaully I would vote for an MP who promised to shy away from publicity. He/she could focus on being OUR representative and a civil SERVANT rather than someone who courts publicity. They are OUR representatives and, bar a few, not our leaders. Many seem to forget that IMO.

Easily done teamhurtmore. Just vote for whichever candidate doesn’t bother with sending you any election material or giving any interviews to the press, TV, or radio. Obviously no one else will vote for them, but you at least will have voted for the best candidate.

Ok, get your point Ernie. Perhaps I should have drawn the distinction between electioneering and blatant self publicity!! I know we will probably alway differ on GG though!!!!

I think George Galloway is one of the outstanding politicians of his generation. I only wish there were many more like him.

He’s probably the best politician to come out of Scotland ever. Better than Salmond, but not as popular.

He was happy to be in a political party led by Tony Blair. His membership only ceased because they threw him out. He’s a bit too right-wing for me.

Pleasing to note there are fewer people willing to defend Blair, the reality of that scuzzy man must be more apparent.

I’m in the middle of reading “The Strange Death of David Kelly” by Norman Baker, MP, and am utterly convinced it was not a suicide. Recommended reading.

Dode is from the same housing scheme as me,man is a God. He recently explained a local Dundee labour politicians criticism of him as a “bitter hangover from losing his place in the St Johns high u14 football team to me.” 😆 I also wonder how many of our MP’s could have their private lives as closely examined as the press and no doubt, the then labour government have done to his in an attempt to find ANYTHING they can nail him for.

You should read David Aaronovitch’s book on conspiracy theories, he has a whole chapter debunking this book. Recommended reading.

Dave Aaaronovitch went from being a CP member to writing for Murdoch and supporting the invasion of Iraq. I wouldn’t take seriously anything he had to say.

I’ve actually got that book, but haven’t got round to reading it. I’m not one for conspiracy theories.

I think it probably is what it is. A well respected, decent man had the audacity to criticise you, and point out the flimsiness of your ‘evidence’. Instead of arguing your position (which you can’t – because it doesn’t stack up) you turn the full power of the state, and your attack dogs in the press to destroy his professional reputation, and hound him at every turn. Then express surprise that this relentless harassment leads to his suicide

Blair is a truly vile human being!

Odd that Galloway was best mates with Saddam and not Blair. Must have been Blair lacked the necessary indefatigability.

It might help you to stop regurgitating tabloid nonsense if you were to watch Junkyard’s video at 8.30 💡

And because I suspect that you probably don’t know, I’ll point out that the United States kept Iraq’s “most favoured nation” status after Saddam gassed the Kurds – he was still considered a valued friend and ally.

US special envoy to the Middle East Donald Rumsfeld with best buddy Saddam :

Whilst the left in Britain were condemning the West’s cosy relationship with the brutal Iraqi dictator politicians such as Tony Blair kept quiet. You will not find any record of Blair condemning the gassing of the Kurds after it actually happened.

Does the book explain why the first paramedics on the scene both reported not finding enough blood present to support suicide where the body was found? Not spamming, genuine question I’ve always thought was central to the case.

Not at all. I’ll just add I hate the selfish public sector workers who voted for him just to get unrealistically high pensions. Am I the only person that votes for the country and not my own personal gain?

… I hate the selfish public sector workers who voted for him

I think you’ll find that public sector workers have a tendency to vote Labour whoever is party leader. What Tony Blair personally attracted to Labour were lifelong Tories who liked this nice young man who was clearly one of them and not a socialist. Even arch right-wingers such as Rupert Murdoch were hugely comfortable backing Blair. Blame them.

Is that because public sector pension entitlement actually went down rather than up under Tony Blair’s premiership ?

Probably not, but given your statement that preceded this I’d suggest you’ve got some way to go before you’re anywhere near the moral high-ground.

Tony bliar should be put in the same box as all the failed politicians, along with vague hague and thatcher, all they want is to agree with oboomaa and have a war with lots of big bangs.

’m sorry but we don’t allow direct links to the Daily Mail on our website as we find it an abhorrent publication.

As for Blair, I can’t stand the man. If there’s a shred of justice in this world, he’ll be on trial at The Hague before the decade is out.
