Ordered a Casio LED Projector to test and it arrived this morning. First impressions are very good. Although quiet it still has a hum about it, time from turn on to picture being displayed is very good – 10 secs (ish). Picture quality looks good on the white wall in the office. It's got a HDMI input on the back so tempted to take it home tonight and plug the PS3 in to see what a proper HD image will look like.

    what's the colour like?

i'd imagine it'd struggle to give a true white?

this will be difficult to gauge unless you are using a proper screen surface

I'd imagine it would struggle more trying to produce a pure black.

the contrast ratio is pretty poor (1800:1) so yes that'd be true

also the chip is only WXGA so no full HD

We use them for class room use so they don't have to be spot on. The colours looked good and my Windows 7 backdrop looked nice and colourful.

I was however projecting onto a brick wall painted white (yes us IT guys really do have fancy offices 🙄 )
