on the subject of old skaters………..from the 70’s

i’ve got a few old boards in a cabinet downstairs. a g&s peralta warptail 2, logan earth ski ‘bruce logan model’ and a 1960s Bilbo (og newquay surf company) skateboard. anyway in the summer the wife’s 14yr old nephew was visiting and said to wife ‘wow cool retro boards’. wife, bless her, retorted ‘actually they’re original.’

if anyone remembers paul “rocker” robson, i’m still mates with him. he competes in triathlons these days and still skates a bit too.
i’ve still got a board in my spare room- toy machine jamie thomas, from around 1998. i’ve not skated in over 10 years though.
still got a few old VHS vids too; if anyone’s interested i can list up what i have left…

Anders Pulpanek was much more of a pitbull than Rocker, Europe’s version of Jason Jesse.
