Go Outdoors have a similar spec kids fatbike for £250, plus Topcashback is usually better than at PX, although one obvious difference is that the Ripple only comes in orange (Piccolino has blue/lime/white options).

Cheers for lthe link to the Go Outdoors bike Nobody, might have to nip through to Inverness for a look. Still not been in the new store there yet. Is it me or does it seem to heave value long top tube though. The On-one bike seems a little more in proportion.

Just bumping this thread to say the Piccolino drops to £280 at 2000 BST tonight, as part of the “tasty Tuesday” hourly deals. Only £20 reduction, don’t forget to go through Topcashback, better than a kick in the teeth. 😉

Or did you/daughter choose the £250 Ripple?

We’re on holiday but we did get a chance to pop in past the Penrith Go Outdoors so she took a Ripple for a spin. It’s a weird bike. Height wise it was fine though the wheels obviously looked smaller than on her 24″ Hotrock. The top tube however seems way too long compared to the rest of the bike, she really had to stretch to steer properly. So that’s a pass on the Ripple.

Might try getting past the Planet X guys on the drive back north & try the On-One, if not may just have to take the chance & go for it.

Btw what’s the story with the Top Cash Back site? Any catches I should be aware of ?

Shame about your Ripple top tube concerns coming home to roost.

Thinking outside the box, would reducing the reach with the following make it fit now? I reckon it would reduce the reach by ~75mm, only thing I don’t know it how twitchy the steering might be with a 35mm stem and a 540mm bar (I’m about to fit that stem with a 747mm “chewy” Knuckleball on my Wazoo).

Buying the above plus the Ripple would cost ~£274 after cashback (if you add another £10 of goods at PX, you can save ~£4 p&p).

A default Poccolino will cost ~£274 after cashback.

Topcashback (I’ve not signed up for Quidco to date, so no idea about them) don’t hammer you with spam e-mails after registering, if you go through the e-mail options, I get typically 1/2 per week. I was very wary initially, but signed up a year ago to get ~£115 from BT for signing up for broadband and phone, I’ve got another ~£10 from other small purchases from PX and Chain Reaction since (I messed up my Halfords one for the Wazoo). There’s a whole range of companies that effectively give you a discount for using a cashback site, for ~£5 annual fee (to get better cashback rates).
