  • On One Lucher, 456 Carbon or stick with 456ti???

I have an itch for something new and maybe big wheeled. So is the Lurcher going to handle being jumped, dropped, crashed and bashed like my 456ti has for the last 4 1/2 years? Or will a slacker 456 carbon be a better choice? Or do I just keep my 456ti, although I would like a slacker head angle?

    All these questions???

456C is the same geometry as your Ti isn’t it? Though you can wang a head angle reducer in it- Ti is straight steerer IIRC so you can only trick it out by a degree using that method.

If you’re a medium, I’d be looking at this here:

It’s a matter of taste but I tried a slacker 456 and I don’t really understand quite why it worked so much less well than the Ragleys, since on paper they’re very similiar.

BB a bit lower on the Ragleys.

Have you tried a 456Evo Northwind?

I think my 456ti has HA of 69 as it is the Lynsky made one?? Not sure if I can get a slackset in its 1/18th heat tube?

    More questions!

Nope. AND NEITHER WILL I because I just spent the kids inheritance on a Ragley Ti, and if I ride anything else I might like it more.

chuffnuts- http://www.workscomponents.co.uk/works-components—10-degree-ec34—traditional-1-18-fitment-6-p.asp. Fits in damn near anything, these days.

    That’s an option, thanks Northwind.

What about the Lurcher, anyone able to offer a comparison?
