Im thinking of an On-One Chunky Monkey as an Alps tyre for my Heckler. Does anybody run them tubeless? My rims are XM819's
Om-One Chunky Monkey/Smorgasboard - Tubeless?
Very easy to do and stay up on my Bontrager rhythm rims
A great front tyre, get a Smorgasboard for the back for the best combination of tyre
Bloomin hope they do as, having just got some Smorgasboard 29er tyres, they weigh a fair bit so I'm hoping to compensate by running them tubeless...920g on my scales which coincidentally is the exact same weight as the last tyre I bought, a Maxxis Minion 26" Exo 2.5 ST
Was planning to run a Minion front with a Chunky monkey rear for the Alps...both tubeless. If the Smorgasboard is anything to go by, the walls seem fairly solid which is encouraging
Cheers for that. I'm assuming it isnt officially Tubeless ready, but it should be fine on my UST rims with sealant?
Last year I ran an X-King Protection Black Chilli on the rear and it was great. What will the Smorgasboard give me over that?
The chunky monkey might be too big for your rims, think they recommend 21mm minimum internal width.

Smorgasboard 29ers went up first time with a track pump on my Crest rims..
Just looked, it says min 19mm, so should be fine!
So, 160 fork, larger front tyre and offset bushings = mucho alpine slacknesss
I pick up the frame in Philadelphia,USA on Friday (long story) and cant wait to get it done!!
Chunky monkey on my Crests is very nice, grippy and seems to roll reasonably fast.
Sounds like a winner then!!
